Stone Faces

Leaves are one of my favorite things. I like the shapes and colors they come in. So when I saw this pot made of leaves to look like faces I had to have it. It's one of my favorite momentos from one of our vactions to Hilton Head. I really like the way it's begun to age, I hope one day it'll be covered in moss.

I found this macramé shawl at a antiques fair held in Va. every year on Labor Day weekend. The minute I saw it I was in love and had to have it. Although it’s not antique, the ribbon is mostly rayon, the workmanship is incredible. I haven’t had the opportunity to wear it yet but plan to soon as the weather warms up again. I found a lot of other textiles and some depression glass that weekend, being able to do that kind of shopping at an event that large was a dream come true for me.

Close up of the macramé work.

Hummingbird Feeder

Duach received this birdfeeder last year  for Father's Day. We both enjoyed watching the hummingbirds so much last year. I can not wait for springtime, so we can enjoy them again.

I noticed  Wal-Mart has a wine bottle hummingbird feeder. I will probably add that one to my collection this year.

Hendricks BBQ in Salisbury - Pamela

My entry for today is a little hole in the wall dinner type restaurant that G and I had lunch at. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from a country BBQ joint.

I also have a second photo to share. This one taught me a valuable lesson, to always have my zoom lens with me. These wild turkeys were feeding out in the open at the gun club where G is a member. I was able to get very close to them and if I had my zoom lens with me I could have gotten some incrediable pics.
